Answer #1

Given that mentoring is a give and take the relationship between the dynamics of a mentor and mentee, we can say that a mentor brings positive changes in the life of their mentee. They have the experience, not just theoretical, but also applicable to situations, they have been through tough situations and almost always have applicability and the ability to nurture talent. Risk management is more a state of mind and creativity than anything else. Being prepared for the occurrence of risk can provide the necessary attitude to the mentee, using which they can remain calm during stressful times, think outside the box with the experiences shared by their mentors and work towards achieving a positive balance between talent, experience, and direction. All of it makes a difference when it comes to risk management and not just how much money we can throw at a problem, therefore mentoring, while not consciously working towards it, ends up achieving some levels of risk mitigation training since the mistakes a mentor might have made can be used as a learning outcome for a mentee, making them more proactive, more resilient and therefore better suited for risk management and mitigation processes.
