(i) Restric access:- One of the best protective approach to secure your code is allow restriction level on the code. Example- Installing two way protection on your source code. only high level personnel should work on it.

(ii) Encryption and monitoring:- Encrypt your source code so that if anyhow is able to open the file, can't use it until a key is entered to decrypt the source code. The admin also needs to monitor who is working on the source code.

(iii) copywright and patent:- A patent gives right to you that nobody can copy your source code or sell it. If you found someone who is using your source code then you can file case. Due to fear nobody is going to touch your source code. The source code will become your intellectual property once copyright and patent are applied.

(iv) Convert source code into object code:- As we know that object code is non-editable. So source codes are uploaded on cloud with 2 factor authentication and object code are used rather. e.g java source code into bytecode

(v) Use of trusted software to protect your source code from being used.
