The companies that are registered with the United States need to adhere the government rules to pay federal taxes. The companies need to pay the state taxes depending on the state in which it is registered. Hence, there is always a question of where to pay, how much to pay, when to pay, should state taxes be paid?, etc All of these affect the organization itself. If the company is unaware of the government rules and its updates, then it might end up in paying heavy penalties.

b. The positive effect is that the government can make the companies adhere to the rules by giving them penalties. The economy improves if the government collects the taxes efficiently. The negative effect is that most of the companies end up paying double taxes.
