Question 1.
• A restriction enzyme break double stranded DNA by recognising the cut site or palindrome sequence and results in sticky or blunt ends.
• Palindromic sequence is a sequence in double helix of DNA that is the same when read from 5' to 3' on one strand and 5' to 3' on the other complementary strand.
For example -
5' GAATTC 3'
3' CTTAAG 5'.

• Blunt Ends : A straight cut, down through the DNA that results in a flat pair of bases on the ends of the DNA.
Sticky Ends : Staggered ends on a DNA molecule with short, single-stranded overhangs.

Question 2.
Separate DNA strand from given cut ends.
