Answer - I do not agree with the above statement. Aggregate expenditure comprises of C , I , G , (X-M) where M stands for Imports. If the amount of import will increase , the amount of Net export or (X-M) will decline thus the total expenditure will also decline. Thus , when people buy more imports , the aggregate expenditure will not increase but decrease.
