Answer: A) excess Sugar transformed into triglycerides

The extra calories that are consumed, are stored in the body in two forms- glycogen as well as triglycerides. As a result of glycogen storage, there would be formation of intramuscular fatty acids. The body can access glycogen more easily and is broken down more quickly at the time of exercises. If glycogen is broken down by the liver, it will be in order to reduce the level of triglycerides present in the body. Also, it will only be taking place when there is a starvation of glucose in the body and would not occur when a person has a condition characterised by excess glucose, I.e diabetes.
