The origin of the Eukaryotes is tied very closely to organelle biology. Discuss two adaptations that may have been required as precursor to the Eukaryotic cell developing a nucleus. What is the residual evidence for these adaptations? What are some of the challenges presented for cell function by the nucleus and how are these overcome?

Answer #1

Eukaryotes are the organisms which are derived from prokaryotes

Since prokaryotic organisms have RNA as its genetic material, as we all know that DNA is much stable than RNA , RNA changed itself to become more stabilized material that is to DNA hence eukaryotes came into existence .

According to environmental changes the cells also need to survive by overcoming all the climatic changes hence cell adapted itself and increases it's resistance by changing its genetic material from RNA to DNA .

    4. Development of organelles Aa Aa 3 Modern eukaryotic cells are very complex and have many features that allow them to function efficiently. These complexities took a very, very long time to evolve and likely progressed as a series of small improvements that were naturally selected. For example, modern eukaryotic cells have internal membranes surrounding their organelles and the nucleus. This arrangement likely arose when the cellular membranes of some ancient bacterial cells accidentally folded to become internal membranes. Which...

The language used is generalized for the non-scientist and does not include any molecular details, such as methylation of a specific nucleotide in an allele or modification of a specific histone tail amino acid. PLEASE SUMMARIZE THE 4 (numbered 1-4) ARTICLES TO 4 SENTENCES FOR EACH NUMBER. THANKS. 1. Medications have to be safe for mothers-to-be and for their unborn children. Before the authorities will approve a new drug, it must be tested in animal trials on pregnant rodents and, as a rule, pregnant rabbits. Scientists in the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering at ETH Zurich in Basel have now developed a test that allows them to examine a drug's embryotoxicity in cell...

Required: I need to paraphrase the answer because it is plagiarized. . Question: What is the function of beta cells in the pancreas? Answer: Beta cells (β cells) are a type of cell found in pancreatic islets that synthesize and secrete insulin and amylin. Beta cells make up 50–70% of the cells in human islets. In patients with type I or type II diabetes, beta-cell mass and function are diminished, leading to insufficient insulin secretion and hyperglycemia. The pancreas is...
