Answer #1
  1. 875 ul = 0.875ml = 0.000875 l

(1ml = 1000ul

1L =1000ml

1 L= 1000000ul)

2.0

1. we have given 3M NaAc stock solution we have to make 125ml of 0.3M solution

We know the formula C1V1=V2V2( where C1= initial concentration , V1= initial volume, C2= final concentration , V2- final volume.

C1= 3 ,V1=? C2= 0.3 V2= 125

C1V1=C2V2

V1=C2V2/C1

V1= 0.3 x 125 /3

V1= 12.5

Take 12.5ml of 3M stock solution and mix with 112.5 ml distilled water

  1. we have given 10x TBE stock solution we have to make 750 ml of 1x solution

We know the formula C1V1=V2V2( where C1= initial concentration , V1= initial volume, C2= final concentration , V2- final volume.

C1= 10 ,V1=? C2= 1, V2= 750

C1V1=C2V2

V1=C2V2/C1

V1= 1 x 750 /10

V1= 750/10 = 75

Take 75 ml from 10x stock and mix with 675 ml of distilled water.

  1. we have given 10mg/ml= 10000ug/ml stock solution we have to make 25ml of 0.5ug/ml ethidium bromide solution

We know the formula C1V1=V2V2( where C1= initial concentration , V1= initial volume, C2= final concentration , V2- final volume.

C1= 10000ug/ml ,V1=? C2= 0.5 V2= 25

C1V1=C2V2

V1=C2V2/C1

V1= 0.5 x 25/ 10000

V1= 12.5/10000

=0.00125

Take 0.00125 ml = 1.25ul of stock and mix with 24.99875ml of distilled water/buffer.
