Answer #1

10 k 100 u H HE 56 F

Answer: when 100\mu F and 56\mu F are in parallel.

then, equivalent capacitance is given by C=C_{1}+C_{2}=100\mu F + 56\mu F=156 \mu F

Time constant of the circuit with capacitance, C=156 \mu F and R=10\times 10^{3}\Omega

is given by, T =RC=10\times 10^{3}\times 156\times 10^{-6} =1.56 s

you will analyse circuits using the circuit simulation software QUCS (Quite Universal Circuit Simulator, you can download QUCS from http://qucs.sourceforge.net/index.html). In QUCS you build your circuit by creating a schematic of the circuit through a graphical user interface. In the same graphical user interface you also define what simulations to be performed and in the lab you will use DC, Transient and ac simulations. After the simulation is finished you can display the simulation results in the same graphical interface....
