Answer #1

The baroreceptors are sensory receptors located in the arteries of the neck and the thorax, including the aorta. They are sensitive to stretching forces and as such are receptive to changes in blood pressure. For example, Arterial baroreceptors trigger an increase in sympathetic activity and a decrease in parasympathetic activity, which brings about increases in heart rate, myocardial contractility, and vascular resistance. The norepinephrine constricts blood vessels and raises the heart’s rate and pump strength to drive up blood pressure.

The stimulated baroreceptors of arch of aorta and carotid sinus send signals to cardiovascular center of CNS. Now the cardiovascular center reflexes the signal to SA and AV nodes by stimulating the norepinephrine.

Thus, the correct option is (C).
