DF 2a: Given that inequalities will always exist, describe the ethical theories/perspectives that could best allocate wealth, education, health care and other benefits in a democratic society? In organizations?

Inequalities will always exist, but benefits and opportunities to grow can be spread so that people can gain more wealth, more prosperity and good quality of live in their own scope and limits. It is best explained by the utilitarian approach of ethics. This approach focuses upon those action, initiatives and other plans that can spread benefit to the majority of society. Here, the benefits like quality education, cost effective and quality health care and care to elderly people are the results of those action that are ethical as per the utilitarian perspective. So, with this perspective,ethical action leads to the betterment of the majority of the society and help others grow and avail benefits as per their own scope and capacity. So, these action, don't eliminate inequality, but create scope of wealth creation, education and good health for everyone even if inequality grows.

In organizational context also, utilitarian approach brings group health insurance plans, education for the kids of employees and other benefits. It spreads benefits to the majority of the society, from where the employees belong. So, ethical perspective of utilitarianism works.

On a similar note, deontological approach where the action will be evaluated on the basis of intentions. If intentions benefit the majority, then it is good for the society and benefits are spread to the people.
