1 = (A) DNA polymerase I has 3' to 5' and 5' to 3' exonuclease activity, which is used in editing and proofreading DNA for errors. The 3' to 5' can only remove one mononucleotide at a time.

2 = (A) Transversion mutation is a specific kind of point mutation, in which a single purine is substituted for a pyrimidine or vice versa.

3 = (C) The ter sites are cis acting DNA sequence. The Ter sequences are 23 bp non – palindromic sequences and are binding sites for the Tus protein.
