Answer #1
Stage Number of cells Percentage of cells
Interphase 15 50%
Prophase 7 23.34%
Metaphase 4 13.34%
Anaphase 2 6.67%
Telophase 1 3.34%
Cytokinesis 1 3.34%

Total number of cells = 30

Mitosis is the type of cell division in which the parental cell give rise to two daughter cells. The parental cell and daughter cells have identical and equal number of chromosomes. There are four stages in mitosis,

Prophase in which the nuclear envelope disintegrate and chromatin condenses into chromosomes.

Metaphase in which the chromosomes align themselves at the middle of the cell at an imaginary Axis called equatorial plate.

Anaphase in which the sister chromatid separate from each other and move towards the opposite poles of the cells.

Telophase in which the nuclear envelope reappears and chromosomes decondense into chromatin.

After mitosis, cytokinesis occur so as to divide the cytoplasm into two daughter cells.
