The genes are present in repulsion as aB alleles are present on same chromosome.

Coupling refers to the condition in which dominant alleles are present on the same homologue chromosome and recessive alleles are on the other homologue. So, the parental gametes are AB and ab. On the other hand repulsion refers to the condition in which each homologous chromosome has one dominant and one recessive allele of the two genes. So, the parental gametes are Ab and Ab.
