According to the Mendel experiments, phenotypic ratio of dihybrid testcross ratio is 1:1:1:1 when the two genes are assorted independently.

Based on this, each phenotype has an equal proportion, 1900/4= 475.

As the observed number of each phenotype is not fit in the ratio. This indicates the two genes are linked.

Hint: Always parental combinations are more numbered than recombinant combinations in linkage.

Recombination frequency= (no. of recombinants/total progeny)100

RF= (202+178/1900)100= 20%

ii).

The linkage is incomplete linkage because four types of phenotypes are produced.
