As complement system acts by degradation of the foreign body with the help of enzymes such as proteases , lysozyme and also activate macrophages to degrade the remain debries which shows us that complement play a important part for immunity in our body but if complement system is not activated then the bacterial cell degradation and lysis would not occur and it will stay protected . Presence of capsule in bacteria makes the complement system activation to stop as it hides the antigens of bacteria and that is how bacteria is protected .
