Answer:- complement system takes place in liver. pathogen bound anti body is molecule responsible for activation of complement system. there are thre pathways of complement system to destroy cell; 1. classical complement pathway, requires antigen antibody complex to get activated   2). alternate pathway activated by C3 hydrolysis, pathogen 3). lectin pathway activated by C3 hydrolysis. C3 convertase activate C3 component and creat c3a and c3b. c3b cleave c5 into c5a and c5b . c5b, c6, c7,c8 and c9 form cylidrical membarne attack complex whic leads to cell lysis as shown in below figure.
