During the 1900's India was ruled by the British and there are provinces in India that are ruled by Nizam. For example, there are provinces in the southern part of India. Hyderabad is one of them. When compared to the offerings or developments in the parts ruled by British, Hyderabad was lagging in terms of development.
British constructed schools and many institutions where people acquired many new skills and had learned English during that period. At the same time, English was also taught in Hyderabad province but most of the people were not interested to learn.
During the Independence movement in India, People of Nizam province also started to demand Independence. This lead to the introduction of new reforms and the government in Nizam province had to implement new reforms and changes. During this process, women were allowed to go to schools. This movement also increased the financial stability of the people. The government introduced new policies and people got access to new facilities and started new businesses. People started communicating with others in different states and the exchange of goods increased and new techniques for agriculture and other industries were developed. The use of machinery increased in transportation and agriculture operations. This increased efficiency and production costs decreased.
We can relate this to the very recent situation in Telangana where people started protesting to increase the purchase price of agricultural products and also to provide subsidies for various agricultural machinery. This happened mainly because of the increase in the operational cost of agricultural activities.
After this agitations, the Government provided them with the
various facilities and introduced new schemes that benefitted the
farmers by providing various subsidies and a good price for the
agricultural products. This protest also made the government
provide insurance for farmers at free of cost. This benefitted most
of them.
