using minitab

z score = 0.84

c)

P(Z > z) = 0.70

P(Z < z) = 0.30

using minitab

P(Z < -0.52) = 0.30

z score = -0.52

d)

Z0.015 = 2.17

ie

That is find z such that:

P( Z < z ) = 0.015

Thus look in z table for Area = 0.015 and find corresponding z value.

using minitab

z0.015=-2.17
