Consider the four major models identified in the book chapter read this week - ACT, strengths model case management, case manager as broker, rehabilitation case management. In what ways do they support recovery and the principles of psychiatric rehabilitation? Is one model preferable to another, if so, why?

Have you worked in or had a placement in mental health? If so, what was the case management model used in that work setting and what are your thoughts on its effectiveness.

In my experience i have worked in an mental health setting where many client with psychiatric illness are treated with.

The case management model used in the work setting is the Rehabilitation model which is also called as Psychosocial rehabilitation or sometimes it was simply referred to as psych - rehab .Rehabilitation model include various training or therapy to assist someone to restore their normal ability .

According to my thoughts and opinion , and based on my work experience in that setting I found the rehabilitation model is very beneficial and much effective for the client with psychiatric illness .The services of rehabilitation model focus on a Psychosocial model of care rather than medical approach which makes each individual to feel independent and comfortable .

The rehabilitation model is very effective because it include a combination of various therapies and trainings .it include pharmacological treatment ,social skill training ,psychological support ,vocational and employment rehabilitation ,social support which help the ability to deal with her or her environment .also it provide a good range of comfort and relaxation to the client than the other models .

This model also empower the client to acheive the goal of full recovery challenge towards stigma and prejudice .

The more effectiveness of the model based on my experience is the environment where the clients are treated with. The environment where the client is having Is fully client friend and include many leisure time activities .each of the clients are treated as an individual rather than a patient with some disorders which help them to calm their mind and thus make improvement on the treatment

And so according to my thought this rehabilation model is very effective for the client to regain his normal life abilities and independence .
