The theory to which I relate the most is the two faces of adolescence's success. During adolescence most children tend to follow behaviours that are that are concurrent with the society norms so that they can get social acceptance. It has been seen that the adolescence who practice good social norms are known to have better development, good self-esteem and a status among peers. Successful adolescence show a strong bond with their mother best friends as they comply to both of their norms. However it is also true that popular adolscents are observed complying with activities which help them gain more popularity such as indulging in activities which are performed by their peers too. These activities can include simple activities like group studying, going out and even taking drugs. Complying with the norms of a social group helps in gaining the recognition in the group and social acceptance too.
