Answer #1

1. In C double bond C , the hybridisation of carbon is sp2 , Hence all the atoms attached to sp2 lie in the same plane as the structure is square planer

In the first part of the question it is clear that there is one double bond in between two carbons and that carbon atoms are attached with three other carbons . (One doubly bonded carbon is attached with two carbon and another doubly bonded carbon is attached to only one carbon)

Therefore there are total five carbons in the plane of double bonded system

hence Answer for the first part is 5

2. Similarly, it is clear that there is one double bond in between two carbons and that carbons are attached with two other carbon atoms, one doubley bonded cabon atom is attached to one other carbon atom, hence there are four carbon atoms in the double bonded plane

Answer for the second part is 4

3. Similarly, it is clear that there is one double bond in between two carbons and that carbons are attached to four other carbon atoms, (Two carbons are attached to each sp2 hybridised carbon atom) hence there are total six carbon atoms which lie in the double bonded plane

Answer for the third part is 6
