2 -(a) Bromine has 7 valence electrons so, it will accept one more electron to complete it's octet and hence Br​​​​​-​​​​ ion will be formed which is anion.

(b)- Sulphur forms S​​​​​​2- ion to become stable and is also an anion. This is because Sulphur has 6 valence electrons.

(c) Gallium forms Ga​​​​​3+ which is cation because it has 3 valence electrons.

(d) Rubidium has one valence electron so it forms monovalent cation Rb​​​+
