Solubility of solute depends upon the nature of solvent. It follows like dissolves like. Polar solute will be soluble in polar solvent while non polar solute will be soluble in non polar solvent.

As water is polar solvent .. therefore only polar solute (like Nacl, calcium chloride) will be soluble in water...and similarly cyclohexane is non polar solvent ( almost same electronegativity of carbon and hydrogen) therefore only non - polar solute will be soluble.
