* PYRUVATE DEHYDROGENASE COMPLEX is present , means Pyruvate will be converted to Acetyl CoA.

* Conversion of 1M pyruvate to Acetyl CoA produces 1M of CO2.

-- Therefore conversion of  3mM pyruvate to Acetyl CoA will produce 3mM CO2.

*Note - Since no intermediate of citric acid is present in reaction mix means no oxaloacetate will be present and the cycle will stop at it's first step when OAA combines with Acetyl CoA to form citric acid , hence further processing of Acetyl CoA will not take place via TCA and there will be no more CO2 generation.

Therefore only 3mM CO2 which is produced as conversion of Pyruvate to Acetyl CoA will be present .
