Answer #1

B) LL sexually reproducing organisms have at least two copies of each gene at some stage of their life cycle. Is the true statement . In order to reproduce sexually , recombination of gene takes place and that will occur only when at least two copies of each gene will be present .

Diploid organisms can reproduce asexually as well.

Gametes have haploid number of chromosomes .

Zygote is called as fertilized egg.

Mutations in somatic cells are not passed on to individuals of next generation rather germ cell mutation do pass from one generation to next generation.

While Ulothrix can reproduce sexually it can also reproduce asexually. One of the cells in a multicellular stage of the life cycle divides to produce free swimming cells called zoospores which germinate and grow into another multicellular body. 15a. Think about Ulothrix, In this organism where you know the only diploid cell is the zygote which of...

Why is it essential that each gamete receive only one set of chromosomes, in other words. why must gametes be haploid? Because a haploid gamete can then fuse with a diploid egg or diploid sperm which promotes fertilization and development of a zygote. Because when gametes fuse in fertilization,...

my assigned organism is Naked mole rat (Heterocephalus glaber). please type it. The first step in understanding how information is passed from one generation to the next is understanding how cells divide, particularly how the DNA is passed on to the resulting cells. In this discussion, you will describe the life cycle of an animal or plant of your choosing.
