You cross many F1 zebras to each other to obtain a large F2 population. In the F2, there are some zebras with 0 stripes, some with 10 stripes, some with 20 stripes, some with 30 stripes, some with 40 stripes, some with 50 stripes, and some with 60 stripes. Approximately how many genes do you think contribute to stripes in zebras? Explain your answer and what rule you used

Six genes are reason for this condition in zebra stripes.
Six subspecies of zebras roamed in plains of savannas of southern and eastern Africa which have been defined on the basis of head shape and the pattern of the animals stripes.

Due to lack of Melanin (a genetic condition),some zebras are born without stripes.
