How many bands are present in each of the four lanes? I honestly can't tell which bands to count and which to not. (The second half of the western blot is a repeat)

Bands in western blot are discrete and distinct from each other. These bands represent the protein of a particular molecular weight. When compared with the marker of known molecular weight proteins, size of these unknown proteins can be known.

As can be seen from the below picture, which bands need to be count

In lane 1 of given question figure, 7 bands are present, marked as red dots.

In lane 2, 7 bands are present, marked in yellow dots.

In lane 3, 7 bands are present marked in green dots

In lane 4, 9 bands are present marked in purple dots.
