Answer #1

Ethanol is most reduced one than other carbon molecules.

Among them (alcohol, aldehyde, acid), acids are highly oxidised molecules. The most reduced form of carbon molecule after alkane is alcohol. The maximum oxidation state that a carbon can attain decreases with increasing number of bonds to other carbons.
