Brown fats are found in new born babies. Brown adipose tissue has a protein thermogenin that causes the uncoupling of protons and restrict its movement along mitochondrial gradient consequently synthesis of ATPand is stopped, and this energy is dissipated in the form of heat.

PPAR is known as the master regulator of adipocyte differentiation because peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) is a transcription factor that control the differentiation of preadipocytes into adipocytes.
