Answer #1

The allele responsible for hairy pinna (hairy ears) is located on Y chromosome. We all know that, Y chromosome is present only in males not in females. So, only males have hairy pinna females don't.

Males don't have two number of X chromosomes. So, expression of allele co-dominantly is not possible. They contains one X chromosome and one Y chromosome. The X chromosome may contain Y allele for yellow fur or B allele for black fur. Co-dominance of Y allele and B allele is not possible because males don't have two numbers of X chromosomes. When Y allele as well as B allele express co-dominantly only then calico fur is possible.

    16. So far we have been dealing with alleles found on autosomal chromosomes. These chromosomes contain all the genetic information that is not gender related. As a human, you have 44 autosomal chromosomes (22 pairs → 11 chromosomes from your Mom and 11 chromosomes from your Dad). You also contain a pair of sex chromosomes. These chromosomes contain all the genetic information related to your gender. If you are female, you received an X chromosome from your Mom and an...
