Answer #1

The correct option is B i,e yellow and red.

Pathway 1:

According to pathway 1 colourless 1 is converted into red because F allele is present in the organism. This red is then converted into yellow by J allele present in the organism. So according to pathway 1 organism will be yellow in colour.

Pathway 2:

According to pathway 2 colourless 1 is converted into colourless 2 by H allele. Colourless 2 can be converted into red and yellow by alleles I and G. As organism contains only I allele which produces red colour, so organism will be red in colour.

A new kind of pet is in the market has fur color that is regulated by 5 unlinked genes F, G, H, I and J which are enzymes. Each enzyme converts one compound into a different one. Allele F converts the colorless 1 compound into a red compound. Allele G converts colorless 2 into yellow. Allele H converts colorless 1 into colorless 2. I converts colorless 2 to red. Allele J converts red into yellow. When both the red and...

1.Certain characteristics, like coat color in many animals, is influenced by multiple genes. The phenomenon during which the presence of a homozygous recessive genotype at one locus "overrides" or masks the phenotype that would otherwise be produced by the alleles at another locus (regardless of whether they are dominant or recessive) is called: pleiotropy codominance Punnett effect recessive Epistasis 2. Which of the following would be considered a pleiotropic gene? A gene that-along with several others-influences a single phenotype, such...
