Both primer pair B and C will bind to the given template and give a PCR product. But only Primer B will a product of 20 nucleotides.

B- As compared to the wild type, 1 migrated more. 2 migrated less and 3 migrated the same length as that of wild type.

The fragment which are larger than the wild type will migrate less as compared to the wild type. It is only possible if the 2 is larger than the wild type. DNA becomes larger due to the insertion of some bases.

So in the case of 2, there is insertion.

So correct answer is option D- insertion.

In the case of 1, there is the deletion of some nucleotides, such that its length become shorter than the wild type.

3 migrate the same length as that of wild -type. It means that either there is no deletion or insertion or there is a mutation in just one nucleotide so that the length of 3 is the same as that of wild-type. So 3 is either transversions, transition or single nucleotide polymorphism.
