Need help with reviewing my lab report -- Question on Germinating Seeds

Plants and plants have been studied for hundreds of years, dating back to the geological era of the Holocene, which began around 11,700 years ago. How to study its effects was by noting the effects of the plants on humans, i.e. herbal medicine, which is the doctrine of how to use herbs in various ways to promote health. Fast-forward to 1665 and using an early microscope to detect cells, Robert Hooke was able to see the dead cell walls of plant cells (a cork) when viewed under the microscope. The purpose of this lab report is to shed light on the effect of a seed that is starting to grow and how it is going. A seed is made up of a shell, seed white, and a sprout. When it has received everything it needs, it begins to heal. There is also an "optimal temperature" at which seeds grow most easily. In the case of beans, the optimum seed temperature is 27 degrees Celsius. Then the seeds also need a good supply of water, oxygen, and light. Seeds breathe just like any other living organism in the form of cellular respiration.

They need oxygen and produce carbon dioxide (CO2) through metabolism, and this carbon dioxide must be able to move from the seed. If the soil or medium is not aerated due to overwatering or compaction, carbon dioxide will not be able to disperse, and seeds can be suffocated. However, not all seeds have the same energy requirements in the form of light. Most seeds grow best in dark conditions and may even have inhibited growth due to light (e.g. Phacelia and Allium spp.). However, we should not confuse seed lighting requirements with what the plants essentially need; all plants require sunlight. Seedlings will be long-legged and fragile and will not produce the potential they possess if sufficient light is not available. When a plant grows, a certain amount of nourishment is stored in the seed white which is satisfied when the seeds grow, but photosynthesis is very important before the nutritional content ends; otherwise, the end product becomes a long-legged plant that strives to reach the light. That is why light is important. Photosynthesis is a process that is in the chloroplasts and works in such a way that sunlight is captured and the conversion of carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and glucose. It is in such a way that the plant grows, and the chlorophyll causes the plant to get its green colour. If we no longer have photosynthesis, the plant will no longer be green, but instead pale and yellow. The water is also important as it softens the seed peel, which facilitates the germ to get out of the shell. Heat paves the way for chemical reactions in the plant, while oxygen brings the sprout to life. Then cell respiration takes place in plants where glucose and oxygen are extracted energy, and the residual products get carbon dioxide and water again. Thus, it becomes a cycle of oxygen, thanks to photosynthesis and cellular respiration.

In this way, a plant can grow in a fairly closed space where the air supply is reasonably limited. The sprout senses the earth's attractiveness and thus knows what is up and down. It grows up just because it knows it needs sunlight.

  • How Do Chloroplasts Capture Energy from the Sun?

How Do Chloroplasts Capture Energy from the Sun? Plant cells and some algae contain an organelle called the chloroplast. The chloroplast allows plants to harvest energy from sunlight, a process known as photosynthesis. Specialized pigments in the chloroplast absorb sunlight and use this energy combine carbon dioxide and water to make glucose and oxygen. The complete reaction is: 6CO2 + 6H2O + C6H12O6 + 6O2 Raw Materials (Reactants) CO2 = carbon dioxide H2O = water Products C6H1206 = glucose O2 = oxygen Plant cells can...

When a plant grows, the atoms used come from carbon dioxide in the air and water. Plants are able to accomplish this through the process of photosynthesis, cellular respiration and biosynthesis of macromolecules. Briefly explain the light-independent reactions of photosynthesis: where does this take place, what are the reactants and what is produced? How do plants store excess product from these reactions?
