Answer #1

1.The intermediate molecule formed in calvin cycle is 3-phosphoglycerate (G3P).It is a 3 carbon sugar compond which acts as the starting point for the synthesis of other sugar molecules.so the answer is G3P.

2.Co2 gas is fixed by Rubisco during dark reaction. In the dark reaction Rubp is attached with co2 in the presence of the enzyme Rubisco forming a 5 chained carbon sugar compond. So the answer is Co2 gas.

3. The bundle sheath cells occur in both c4 and CAM pathaways but the main difference is that in C4 plants photorespiration is minimised by the relocation of co2 gas.while CAM pathway checks when to extract co2 from the environment. So the answer is C4 in corn.

4. Whether it is c3 pathaways forming a 3 carbon sugar or the c4 pathaway by which a 4 carbon compond is formed or the CAM cycle results in both of these products at different time, all these 3 different pathaways has an ultimate goal to produce glucose which is further converted into starch. So besides of the differences in these pathaways and their products these are carried out to give glucose ultimately(CH2O).so the answer is CH2O to starch.

5. In CAM pathaway photosynthesis occurs in day while co2 fixation is done at night to reduce transpiration rates.Because CAM pathaway is seen in arid plants mostly where rates of water loss due to transpiration is very high during day time.So the Co2 is stored at night in the form of an organic acid i.e. malic acid which is used the next day for photosynthesis. So the answer is CAM pathaway.

6.For the dark reaction, CO2 gas is fixed in the mesophyll cells or the bundle sheath cells depending by which pathaway it's fixation occurs but ultimately all these cells where co2 fixation is carried out belongs to the chloroplast in the leaves. So the answer is Chloroplast.

7.If the O2 released by light reactions is fixed up by plants instead of co2 then it is called photorespiration. As this process is not advantageous to the plant besides it wastes the ATP of the plant also.In photorespiration no sugar is formed neither is the ATP instead it utilises ATP giving the plant nothing in return. Thus photorespiration is also known as a wasteful process. So the sugar reducing endosymbiont for plant cells is O2.

8.During the calvin cycle,Rubp is regenerated after it fixes co2 so that the cycle of co2 fixation continues.Firstly co2 is fixed by Rubp forming 3 phosphoglyceric acid then it is reduced by electrons provided by NADPH and then the Rubp is once again regenrated to continue the cycle. So the answer will be Rubp.

Photosynthesis - what is meant by each round? Carbon fixation occurs in the stroma of the chloroplast in a process known as the Calvin Cycle. It occurs in three stages: Stage 1: Carbon Fixation, Stage 2: Reduction, and Stage 3: Regeneration of RuBP. In Stage 1, __ molecule(s) of CO2 are added to __ molecules of RuBP, which was regenerated from the previous cycle. This process is catalyzed by the enzyme Rubisco. The final product from each round of the...

Building Vocabulary: Plant Adaptations to Hot, Dry Climates 6 of C3 photosynthesis photorespiration 1. In plants, the first product of carbon fixation is the three-carbon compound 3-PGA formed in the Calvin cycle 2. When such plants close their stomata on hot, dry days to conserve water leaf and is added to RuBP in place of CO2 A two-carbon product of this reaction is broken down to Co2 consuming ATP and generating no sugar 3. The apparently wasteful process described in...
