Explain why a denatured enzyme in a cell could be detrimental?

Answer- Enzyme are biocatalyst and they increase the rate of reaction by decreasing the activation energy. The enzyme is denatured due to the high temperature of extreme pH. The denatured enzyme is unable to catalyze the reaction and this is detrimental to cells as the metabolism pathway is not taking place as enzyme is denatured.
