Enzyme with high affinity for substrate different different same
Enzyme with low affinity for substrate different different same

Both the enzymes are having a same value for Km. Km is the substrate concentration at which the velocity of an enzyme catalysed reaction is half of maximum velocity.

The more efficient enzyme is the one which is having a lower value of Km because it is requiring less amount of substrate to reach half of maximum velocity. But when the value of Km for both the enzymes is same, then we will compare the maximum velocity or half of maximum velocity for those enzymes. The one having more value of maximum velocity will be more efficient.

So the enzyme with high affinity for substrate is having more value for maximum velocity and therefore will be much more efficient than that of the enzyme having low affinity for substrate.

Low affinity = high Km

High affinity = low Km
