Answer #1

Yellow is dominant to black fur in males
In females it is incomplete dominance. So, heterozygotes exhibit "tortoise shell or Calico" .
It happens because the fur colour is sex-linked.

If cross is between black male (homozygous recessive) and yellow female (homozygous dominant, sine heterozygous results in Calico female)
yy x YY
All heterozygous genotype offspring.
If they are males, they will be yellow, if they are females, they will be Calico type.

If cross is between black male (homozygous recessive) and tortoise shell female (heterozygous , sine heterozygous results in Calico female)
yy x Yy
50% of the offspring will be black, irrespective of their sex.
And remaining 50% will be heterozygotes, out of which, males will be yellow and females will be Calico or tortoise shell type.

Tortoise shell animals are found only in female heterozygotes. So cross between two Calico animals is not possible.
