1. Outer mitochondrial membrane has plenty of voltage dependent anion channels that plays major role in Ca2+ transport from ER leumen to intermembrane space.

2. In IP3 receptor mediated pathway mitochondrial Ca2+ transport is limited to outer mitochondrial membrane.

3. VADC forms complex with endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ release channel IP3Rs and this complex provides highway for transport of Ca2+ from ER leumen to intermembrane space.
