Answer: Option (a) Primase is more accurate than DNA polymerase at copying a DNA template.

Option (a) is correct. It is because DNA polymerase can only add nucleotide to the 3' end of sample DNA strand. For copying a DNA template from the sample one, DNA polymerase alone is not able to make a new replication fork. It can be only possible due to the presence of primase which is an enzyme. This primase make a short portion of nucleic acid which is complementary to the template strand. This strand provide 3’end for DNA polymerase to work on further and helps at copying a DNA template. So, Primase is more accurate than DNA polymerase at copying a DNA template.

Option (b) is incorrect. It is because if primase is less accurate than DNA polymerase at copying a DNA template. Then it may be chances of not copying a DNA template. We know DNA polymerase can only add nucleotide to the 3' end of sample DNA strand. For copying a DNA template from the sample one, DNA polymerase alone is not able to make a new replication fork. It can be only possible due to the presence of primase which is an enzyme. If this primase is less accurate then it may be chances that it can’t make a short portion of nucleic acid and ultimately the template strand does not forms.
