13). Casparian strip

  In anatomy of plant , the casparian strip is a band of cell wall materials which is deposited in the radial and transverse walls of the endodermis .casparian strip is made up of suberin and sometimes lignin. It is a band of waterproof cork tissues found on the walls of endodermis of roots.

The function is prevents water from entering the pericycle except through cytoplasm of endodermal cells.
