11. Optic nerve within the retina forms the blind spot

12. When both eyes are open the blind spot is lacking because the visual fields will merge. The blind spot for the right eye will be in the right side of your centre of vision and for the left eye will be in the left side of your centre of vision when both eyes are open the visual fields merge. While when only one eye is open the brain edits the information and the blind spot is not visible again.
