Answer: Jugular vein is the vein that is commonly used to inject medicines in to horse. This vein drain blood from head and neck in to heart. Common carotid artery is the artery that lies just deep the Jugular vein. Carotid artery supplies blood to brain, head and face. Accidental injection of medicine in to the carotid artery instead of Jugular vein leads to sever complication because the medicine hits the brain and cause adverse reaction such as coma, seizures and twitching.

Jugular vein is the vein that veterinarians commonly used to inject medicine to horse. Common carotid artery is the artery that lies just deep to the previously mentioned vein. This artery eventually supplies the brain. If certain medicine hits this important organs it could cause sever reaction.
