* fluid is found in the blood,lymph,body Cavities ,in the cavities of the spinal cord and in body tissues. Following types of fluid are produced in the body:

Blood,saliva,semen,vaginal fluid,tissue fluid,milk etc.

*function of water to the normal physiology of the body:

•it protects the vital organ.

•it helps in the absorption of nutrients.

•it helps in the conversion of food into energy.

Function of electrolytes to the normal physiology of the body:

•it maintains a homeostasis in the body.

•they help in the regulation of the neurological function,fluid balance,acid base balance and other biological processes.

*body gains the fluid by the intake of water and consuming foods. Body losses the fluid by urination,perspiration and respiration.

*following are the example of water/electrolytes imbalance disorders:

°hypernatremia,hyponatremia,hyperkalemia,Hypokalemia.

* metabolism is a chemical process in which the foods gets converted into energy. The enzymes present in the digestive system breaks the protein into amino acids,turns fats into fatty acids and turns carbohydrates into simple sugars.

*choline packages the lipids and metabolizes it for the production of energy.
