Extra points (10 points) Religion is a big part of human/culture geography. Region Geography basically is the study of the spread of religion, its spatial distribution around the world, and its impacts on social, cultural, spiritual and environment. The five and sometimes six largest and most influential religions include Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Judaism; all of them are originated in South and Southwest Asia. Please read the article "Religion and Geography", by Chris Park, Lancaster University in 2004 (uploaded in bblearn next to this homework 4), and answer three questions: 1) Which is the most common type of diffusion process for the spread of religion (2 points)? 2) Who is the founder of Buddhism (2 points)? 3) Why Buddhism was almost re-absorbed into Hinduism in India (6 points)?
