Scarification:-Scarification is a process of inducing seed germination.It involves weakening or opening of seed coat to induce seed germination.It can be done mechanically,thermally and chemically.in mechanical scarification,with the help of hammer or knife the seed coat are become weak.In chemical scarification,acids and bases are used to induce germination.seed are soaked in respective acids and bases. Chemicals sulfuric acid and potassium nitrate plays vital role in scarification.In thermal scarification,heat is used to bring out scarification.
