Tumerogenesis is the formation of a mass of cells ,(Malignant or benign).It is a multistep process.Experiments shown that only a small fraction of tumor cells are capable of initiating tumor.The genetic changes occurs in tumors is the main reason for cancer.Genetic mutations will lead to cancer progression.The genetic changes are likely to be readily uncovered.In epigenetic changes in gene expression is much harder to identify (it is an indirect effect)
