Answer :

Ion channels are transmembrane protein complex that allow ions to pass through the central channel pore.Ion channels allow movement across concentration gradient.They can allow movement of millions of ions per second . These channels catalyse transmembrane flux of ions thus showing that ion channels act as enzyme .

Uniporter is a membrane protein that binds a single type of substrate molecule and transfers it according to concentration gradient. Uniporter a transport protein increases the rate of transport to many times thus acts as enzyme for the process.

Ions flow freely through ion channels along concentration gradient like simple diffusion (only difference is that it is facilitated while simple diffusion is non facilitated) . Whereas uniporter binds to single molecule at a time as substrate . Thus movement through ion channels are faster as compared to uniporter.
