AGLYPHOUS

​​​​​​Aglyphous snakes are those with lack specialized teeth. The dont have venom or grooves to store. All teeth are of same size and shape.

OPHISTHOGLYPHOUS

These snakes have grooves for venom. They have a pair of teeth. They use these teeths to inject the venom. They are situated at the back of "maxilla" and phase backwards. These are rear fanged types

PROTEROGLYPHOUS

These snakes have grooves for venom. Their fangs are small and pointed like needle. They have fangs at front of "maxilla" and have small tooth behind.

SOLENOGLYPHOUS

These snakes have grooves for venom. Their fangs are long compared to other categories. They can fold the fangs to the roof of the mouth. The fangs are present in "maxilla". Only fangs are present in Maxilla.
