Photolysis is the process by which water is split into oxygen, proton, electron by the help of LIGHT.

When the electrons leave the chlorophyll molecules, it leaves behind a 'hole. ' This electron hole is filled in by a water molecule that is oxidized (Photolysis), or loses electrons, as it essentially splits into two hydrogen atoms, or protons, and an oxygen atom.

this electron is taken up by the photosystem and the proton (H+) Is taken up by the NADP+ molecule and get reduced to energy molecule NADPH.
